State of Origin

Malo e lelei,

My name is Jessie and I am a year five student at Ruapotaka School. I am 10 years old. My culture is Maori. My teacher’s name is Mrs Buchanan.

My favourite subjects at school are reading and maths. In maths we are learning to co-operate with others by problem solving. My goals are to learn my 8 and 9 times tables. My favourite author is Roald Dahl. In reading we are learning to answer questions as we read the story.

My Manaiakalani teacher is Mrs Grant. We are learning to create a positive digital footprint. We have been making decisions about what personal information we will share online and what personal information we will keep private. We create a lot of digital footprints when we look at individual blogs. When we have Manaiakalani learning, we learn new things every day. My smart footprint is my favourite thing we have done so far with Mrs Grant.

My favourite State of Origin team is Queensland. My favourite player is Justin Hodges. My favourite sport is netball. I really like the Magic netball team.

I admire my family because they do everything they can do to help me and they inspire me to do things. When I grow up I would like to be a police officer.

  1. Hi Jessie it was really interesting to reading all about you. The main thing that I loved reading was how you like reading and maths. I hope that you achieved learning how to ask more questions :)

  2. Jessie, you have thought so carefully when creating your blog profile, deciding what information you would like to share with your audience. This is the start of your positive digital footprint!
